Dance Classes
Acrobatics
Age 4 and up
Students will learn acrobatic floor techniques and tricks. They will also gain physical strength, flexibility and coordination. Class placement for 2nd grade and up is based on individually-judged skill level.
Ballet
Age 3 and up
Our ballet techniques are rooted in a French, Italian and Russian based curriculum. The barre work is very traditional with contemporary choreography incorporated in center combinations. It is a beginner-through advanced-level program. Students will be evaluated and placed in specific levels on an individual basis.
Creative Movement
Age 2 - 3
This is a creative movement class for two and three-year-olds. It helps them gain confidence and self esteem at a young age while encouraging independent skills. These young students will learn music recognition, acrobatic tricks and beginning ballet techniques.
Contemporary (Lyrical)
grades 5- 12 intermediate/advanced
Combining ballet, jazz and modern technique, this style of dance interprets music through movements
Jazz
2nd Grade and up
Our jazz curriculum includes a jazz warm-up that is used in the first two years of study. As dancers progress the jazz class includes muscle-building exercises that will lead to center stretch, across-the-floor and jazz combinations. Students will be evaluated and placed in specific levels on an individual basis.
Pointe
6th grade and up who have already learned basic pointe
Students will be evaluated and placed in specific levels on an individual basis. For students who are ready to learn pointe but have never taken a class before, we offer a Pre-Pointe class as well.
Tap
Ages 3 and up
Our tap technique includes rhythm tap, Broadway-style tap and basic emphasis on universal tap skills. Students will be evaluated and placed in specific levels on an individual basis.
M.O.B
Men of Bataille
This class combines a mix of jazz and hip-hop techniques for boys who are interested in dance.
