Frequently Asked Competition Questions:

When will we know our day and time for competition?
We will not know until the Monday or Tuesday before the weekend of competition
When do we arrive?
You will need to arrive an hour and a half before your scheduled time , and we ask that you stay for awards if awards are within two hours of your performance time.
What does my dancer wear to competition?
Dancers are to wear their Bataille Warm ups and /or Bataille wear
Should my dancer come with hair and makeup complete?
YES. All dancers should arrive in complete makeup and hair.  If your dance requires a hairpiece, it is permitted to come with it already secured.
What does my dancer need to bring to competition?
Please bring your makeup kit, hair accessories (ie: bobby pins, hairnets, barrettes etc.), costume (labeled and bagged), tights or socks, and appropriate shoes.  Please label shoes on the inside and costumes where the name can't be seen from the stage. Please make sure you remove tags that can be seen.
Is there an admission fee for me or my family?
Usually there is no fee for entrance
Why does my dancer need to be at rehearsal two weeks before?
Our dance companies only meet for one hour each week.  Therefore , it is imperative that the dancers practice their spacing at least two weeks straight before a competition.  They simply can't make changes on the fly.  If a student is absent due to illness on competition day, we let the judges know and usually keep the spacing the same.
Where do I get the DC makeup and how do I apply it?
You may purchase the necessary makeup at Dance N Tees in Schaumburg, and there is a video posted at
