Lauren Walter began her journey of dance over 20 years ago at Bataille Academie. While in college, she continued to substitute teach at Bataille and has been instructor the last two years. Lauren graduated from DePaul University with a degree in Secondary Education, concentrations in History and Sociology and a minor in Mathematics. In her years at DePaul, she was a member of their Division 1 Dance Team while helping to coach a local high school’s Poms Squad. Lauren has had the honor of participating in master classes taught by Joel Hall of the Joel Hall Dancers, Nick Pupillo and Robert Christopher, to name a few. To Lauren, the best part of dancing is performing on stage.
Outside of dance, Lauren enjoys keeping busy. She serves as the Director of Knowledge at Tasty Catering, her family’s business. At Tasty Catering, she developed an in-house educational program, focusing on everything from ESL classes and emotional intelligence to seminars on generation integration. Lauren also serves as a consultant for Thirty One Gifts. She is a fan of Chicago sports and will never turn down the opportunity to cheer them on live with family and friends.
